Because equines live a long time (30+ years), we are very cautious about the adoption of our rescues - we want to ensure there is minimal risk of another upheaval in the animals' lives.  We have found quite a few perfect adoptive matches for animals in our care!  Usually these are folks who have volunteered with us and demonstrated that they have the long-term desire to provide for a rescued horse, donkey or mule.  We celebrate these adoptive pairings because they open up another spot for an animal in need.
